How Can I Be So Blessed?

It's 1:27 am on a chilly Friday as I lay down on the right edge of our queen size bed. On my left are two of the most beautiful people on the planet, my wife and my son. As they sleep peacefully by my side, I am wondering.

Sometimes, we tend to forget what we have until we lose it. Most often, we wrap ourselves all over something trivial. Well, I'm letting everyone know right now that I choose to keep my family together and enjoy them until the day I am called by God or when my little one decides to leave the nest.

What really inspires me everyday the love and dedication that comes from my wife. How she holds everything together amazes me. How she cares for our son and myself is beyond comprehension. And as I glance at her right now, I am still in awe that I am hers and she is mine and that the little bundle of joy that is co-sleeping on our bed is OURS!

And so I say a little prayer of thanks and sheepishly wonder... "How can I be so blessed?"

Coffee

Iced coffee without cream nor sugar sure taste great even if it kinda
doesn't.

Everybody has their own preference when it comes to their java. And everyone has a different way of ordering their morning cup. I, for one, am entertained by people in line at the local Starbucks. "Can I get a mocha chocolatta - yah yah!" or how about a "a double shot espresso with whip and a pinch of brown sugar...oh... And make that a Red Eye!"

Well, different strokes for different folks. I'm no different. But hey... it's coffee.

Even the Saddest Story Should Have a Happy Ending

My life isn't perfect!

Yet, I have the perfect life! And this is clearly by choice.

In spite of everything that had happened in the past, now is when they all come to fruition. Changing any one component of the past will alter my "now". Why would I want to do that? Fortunately, and unfortunately, changing my current "now" will alter my future "now"! Now I may want to do that!

I say this because even the saddest story deserves a happy ending. I guess the question is whether you become the main character that everybody cheers on or the villain that everybody wishes were dead or driven away.

Still, at the end of each story... hope and high spirits must thrive.

Another Day, Another Opportunity

Everyday, we're presented with an opportunity to win and a choice to lose. And everyday brings with it the opportunity to get better!

Even in stress filled environments, having a conscious outlook that tomorrow is always better often times, take away the stress of the day.

This being said, take the time to remind yourself that tomorrow is always a better day!

Why Should Martin Nievera Apologize?

I couldn't help but raise my eyebrow to this whole hoopla that Martin Nievera should apologize for singing the Philippine national anthem because he messed around with the cadence and added his own interpretation to it.

I DO NOT think he messed around with the national athem. I thought his rendition was AWESOME!

But what really irked me about the whole "trapo" (traditional politician) whining was the fact that not one of them can sing better than Nievera!

Once again... CRAB MENTALITY at it's finest has been shown again!
